Bertone is authorized to build B99 for Jaguar

In the auto show, Berton is going to unveil the B99 Jaguar concept.

In fact, Bertone has already been given authorization by Jaguar (a British car manufacturer) to develop the B99 concept for Jaguar.

Bertone’s designers, however, are clearly not admirers of the current Jaguar XJ and XF. Those designers are more inspired by the classic models, such as the old XJ and X-Type.

The X-Type itself has no longer been produced, and it is said that Jaguar prepares to announce a new 3-Series as competitor for the X-Type.

In size, the Bertone B99 Jaguar concept may not be special, because it is said to be almost similar with that of compact executive best-seller of BMW.

However, if the Bertone B99 has truly inherited the classic styling, then we can still expect that the car concept will bring difference in Geneva and become a star attraction.

The 2011 Geneva auto show will begin on just few days later. There, we are going to see for real the first appearance of the Bertone B99 Jaguar concept.

Infiniti Etherea will be in Geneva

Infiniti Etherea will be in GenevaInfiniti is going to take part in the forthcoming Geneva auto show in March.

The premium newcomer’s participation in the classic auto show is for unveiling its new Etherea concept car.

The Infiniti Etherea concept will come in a luxurious compact model. It has been specially created by Infiniti’s team to give an idea how an entry-level Infinity of the future might look.

The Etherea concept, howerer, is not only dominated by one body style of car. But, it blends many elements of styles, including sedan or saloon, coupe, crossover, and even hatchback in a significant boldness form.

The team has smartly arranged a new, magnificent innovative access and mechanical layout, making the Etherea concept to be obviously compact at 4.4m, but it is also practical and space efficient at the same moment.

Infiniti now is considering to apply the innovative technologies of the Etherea concept for Infiniti’s next generation cars.

Mitsubishi Concept Global Small

The Mitsubishi Concept Global SmallMitsubishi Concept Global Small is the latest concept car from Mitsubishi Motors Corporation. It s specifically developed to be fuel efficient, compact, and affordable.

The Mitsubishi Concept Global Small is the prototype for future passenger vehicle from Mitsubishi. It is scheduled to go into manufacturing at Mitsubishi’s factory in Thailand, in March 2012.

The Mitsubishi Concept Global Small comes in compact body style, yet it is able to provide comfort for five passengers. It is also promising good maneuverability.

The concept car is powered by 1.0-1.2L engine featuring a regenerative braking system and an idling stop mechanism. The combination enables the car to deliver high fuel efficiency, with emissions of CO2 in the mid 90g/km range.

The Mitsubishi Concept Global Small also comes with lighter body than the previous Mitsubishi’s models. The engineers had worked hard to focus on weight reduction, yet maintaining solidity and safety level. As the result, they are successful to make reduction in the body, engine, brakes, tyres, and the new CVT. The weight reduction has even improved the car’s aerodynamics.

At the Geneva Motor Show, there will be 12 new models to exhibit by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, including the Mitsubishi Concept Global Small. The 2011 Geneva Motor Show itself will last for more than a week, started from 1st of March.

Waiting for the new Saab 9-4X to release

There are rumors which tell that the new Saab 9-4X will make its first appearance to public in this year. And the rumors appear to be true since organizers of the Los Angeles Auto Show confirmed that there is an unveiling plan of the new model in November, 2010. The confirmation is delivered via the event’s official Twitter page. LA Auto Show’s Twitter profile mentioned, “SAAB has confirmed that the 9-4X Crossover will make its world debut at the LA Auto Show this Nov.”

However, there are no any details in the confirmation. But the new Saab 9-4X is believed to be based on the BioPower concept. The BioPower concept in fact has been already presented by Saab at the 2008 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. At that time, the concept showed solid performance – it was powered by a 2.0-liter BioPower engine developing no less than 300 horsepower.

The new Saab 9-4X must have more appealing and luxurious concept. It is said that the new Saab will be powered by either a 2.8-liter V6 turbo engine developing 300 horsepower at 5,300 rpm or a BioPower turbocharged engine developing 224kW and 400Nm when used with E85 fuel.

If the new 9-4X will be truly unveiled in this year, then the production of the car may begin in early 2011. And in the following months, the car must have been available in the market.
