It seems that the new 2011 will be the new era for lots of Hybrid or green car concepts, because that’s the new Yaris HSD concept from Toyota. The design for the new car is revealed during Geneva Motor Show on 1st of March 2011 and the car will be launched in 2012 – although there’s a chance that the production might go faster and the new car will be ready before that.
The Yaris HSD will come with hybrid supermini concept, which is the concept of the future Yaris. It will be manufactured at one of Toyota’s plants in France. The company expects that they would be able to produce full hybrid production for all their European production by 2020. The new car will use different style from the previous line. New Yaris HSD concept will come with vertical corner for the aero which is located in the bumper in order to minimize the air turbulence. It also comes with low grille and 18” rim which is built to help cooling of the brake. Toyota states that the car is able to emit zero CO2 during EV mode. The roof of the car is also equipped with solar panel that would supply power for the AC system.
