2012 Nissan GT-R Launch Control (How to use R-Mode)

Car : 2012 Nissan GT-R’s

Video Rating: 4 / 5

Description :

The revised 2012 Nissan GT-R’s LC4 R-mode start launches from 4000 rpm like the 2009 LC1 original, but with a smoother clutch engagement to minimize wheelspin.

These runs resulted in a 0-to-60 mph runs of 3.0 and 3.1 seconds, without rollout. That’s a significant improvement over all previous GT-Rs.

How to use R-Mode Start Function in the 2012 Nissan GT-R:

  1. Move the shift lever to the A or M position.
  2. Select the R mode with the transmission setup switch (VDC, transmission and suspension setup ‘switches’).
  3. Select the R mode with the VDC setup switch.
  4. Depress the brake pedal firmly with your left foot and keep depressing the brake pedal.
  5. Depress the accelerator pedal quickly to the floor with your right foot while the brake pedal is depressed. The engine speed will increase to approximately 4,000 rpm and will be maintained.
  6. Within 3 seconds after depressing the accelerator pedal, release the brake pedal.
