Reporters catch 2018 Audi S6 testing

Spy shots disclose that the 2018 Audi S6 happens to be in development ahead of its A6 sibling’s highly anticipated launch next year.

The car maker’s all-new A6 won’t emerge until 2018, though before this we’ll observe the swoopy fresh A7. However, engineers are currently putting the final strokes to the mighty S6 saloon.

Caught undergoing development testing at the Nurburgring, the 2018 Audi S6 boasts a modest exterior updates over the regular versions of the saloon noticed previously. Evidently, without the four-tail pipes looking out of the rear end you could confuse it with a regular A6.

Just look a bit closer and you’ll discover beefier brakes, which hide behind large alloys wheels wrapped in low profile tires. In terms of styling, the images don’t unveil a lot, though the car maker has stressed that it’s about to drift away from its so-called ‘Russian doll’ styling strategy, in order to give models more unique and individual character.
