Renault Launches Duster and Pulse at Delhi Auto Show 2012

The New Delhi Auto Show 2012 would be used very well by some automakers to introduce their new cars, especially they who target Indian market. French automaker, Renault, uses the biggest auto event in India to launch new compact SUV named Duster. Based on some rumors, this all-new French SUV would be segmented for the Indian market, which is why they use the event to introduce the vehicle.

Renault Duster is an all-terrain SUV that was originally industrialized by Dacia, the French carmaker’s Romanian subsidiary. If this plan comes true, it means the Renault Duster would be in the same class with two local products, which are Mahindra Scorpio with Rs. 7.59 to 12.40 lakh and Rs. 7.30 to 839 lakh’s Sumo Grande belongs to Tata Motors that have been running streets in India for a while. In India, the all-terrain SUV, Renault Duster, would be offered for Rs. 7 to 9 lakh.

Besides the Duster, Renault uses the Delhi Auto Show 2012 to launch officially Pulse. This car uses the same platform as Micra, belongs to Japanese automaker, Nissan. Some analysts said that the Pulse would attract much attention from automotive enthusiasts, especially they who come from India. The Renault Pulse brings dCi engine with 1.5 liter of capacity. This engine is just the same as brought by Nissan’s Micra, Sunny and their own product, Fluence. Renault plans to announce the price for the Pulse in the Auto Show, so it is good to wait what is the price tag of the crossover.

With the launch of two Renault’s breeds, it means more automakers concern with the prospect of the auto market in India. The establishment of automotive industry in India seems to be good news for some automakers, especially from Europe and Japan that have been cooperated with local automakers.
