Rumors circulating around automotive industry in German said that Porsche is now in the process of developing a smaller sedan on the looks of Panamera. It is said that the strategy is done to compete its rival, which is also German automaker, Mercedes-Benz with its E-Class and the CL Coupe. The report also said that the name of the new model would be the Pajun. Some analysts predicted that if the rumor is true, than the price of the Porsche Pajun will somewhere upwards of $84,000. Another report published by Reuters indicated that the German luxury sports car manufacturer after reaching huge success with the Panamera is now considering about going to a smaller 4-door version of luxury sedan, following the success of Mercedes-Benz.

The Name Pajun was revealed by AutoBild, which is also famous automotive online magazine. The German media even said that with the Pajun, Porsche will be expanding its portfolio to 6 model lines. However, Hans-Gerd Bode, who is one of important persons inside Porsche said to Reuters that while there were many ideas for a sixth model, any final decision has not been made officially. Next year, the German automaker is also going to bring out their all-new luxury compact SUV to the market, which is Macan, which also marks the 5th model in the product lineup.

Though there are no official statements come out from the German automaker related to the Pajun rumors, but automotive analysts think that going by recent approach from Porsche to expand its vehicle portfolio the creation of Pajun is something likely. Critics have commented highly against the cayenne and Panamera when the German company displayed it for the first time in front of the public. According to the critics, the models were going to be utter flops but the company proved to them that the critics were wrong.

Audi preparing Q3 Red Track Concept for Worthersee Tour

All of us remember the Audi Q3 Jinlong Yufeng Concept that was displayed at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show last month. Because of the success of the Chinese-spec concept, now the German automaker is preparing another Q3 concept SUV in the pipeline, it is dubbed as the Audi Q3 Red Track Concept.

Taken from the car’s name, the Audi Q3 Red Track Concept has been finished with a fiery piece of Energy Red color paint, which an iconic choice considering that the Q3 concept SUV is being pegged as a winter car. It can be seen clearly, because from the images published by the German company, the SUV is given carbon fiber skies on its roof.

But more than just its supposed purpose, the Audi Q3 Red Track Concept actually looks a whole lot like the Q3 Vail Concept. The only difference is that the former concept has some additional aesthetic touches both inside and outside. Either way, the Audi Q3 Red Track Concept looks all sorts of spicy in that aforementioned Energy Red paint color.

Unfortunately, the German automaker does not want to make it clear that the concept is being prepared for mass production. Media in German itself does not want to speculate either, about the future of the concept. However, if we look behind, the Red Track Concept maybe will be end up in the storage garage only, like what happened to some other Q3 SUV concepts. Even there are lots of expectations from the auto enthusiasts to see the car running on the streets, but the “four-ring” badge will still consider many factors before bringing it to the next stage.

Whatever the case maybe, we will get a chance to see the Audi Q3 Red Track Concept at the 2012 Worthersee Tour, where the SUV is expected to be one of the front models in Audi’s booth.

Ferrari Millenio Concept by Marko Petrovic

In the world of futuristic components and materials for future cars, we never thought that carbon fiber composites would be superseded by something called buckypaper, but if the design of Marko Petrovic ever comes to fruition, then we could see a lot more vehicles being constructed out of this material featuring carbon nanotubes.

Even Buckypaper is currently in its early stages of development, but automotive experts believed that this material would be better than other materials we found today. They believed that car’s weigh can be radically reduced using the new material and it is stronger than the popular carbon fiber composites. Of course, Buckypaper is unlikely to ever been used in the industry of automotive for at least another 50 or 100 years, so this futuristic concept car shows what Ferrari maybe producing in the next century and because of that, the concept has been dubbed by its designer as the Ferrari Millenio Concept.

We can see from its incredibly detailed renderings, the Ferrari Millenio Concept is a form of two-seater supercar that does not has roof, windscreen and also doors, which makes us think maybe that the appearance is just like another Italian supercar, the Lamborghini Aventador J speedster. If the Ferrari Millenio Concept ever reaches production, it would feature a couple of electric motors that can be easily recharged via solar panels molded around the body or through a conventional power socket.

Ferrari Millenio Concept Features

The Ferrari Millenio also features a whole host of LCD display throughout the cockpit with the prominent speedometer being the focal point of the interior section. The Ferrari Millenio is also lack of well-padded seats like the Avetandor J, which indicates that future sports cars may opt for decreased weight in order to improve comfort. Even though, the futuristic supercar well designed well before the hot-selling Lamborghini Aventador J introduced and released to the market.
