The 2012 Targa Tasmania is certainly exciting and fun, with loads of fearless drivers, crews, and mechanics that have done their best in order to win. As you may know, the even is an annual rally show since 1992. The name is based on the place where the event is happening – Tasmania, of course – and based on Targa Florio, the former event which took place in Sicily.
After battling and struggling with various road condition and obstacles for five days, the main spot is dominated by Wayne Clark and Roger Richardson in their Dodge 1938 Speedster Special. On the second place, driver Bill Griffiths in his Roesch 1936 Talbot BG followed 17 minutes later and the third place is dominated by Martin Wilson with his Jaguar 1934 SS Special. He dropped to the third place because of the technical issues with his ride. But the overall competition aspect of this 2012 Targa Tasmania is very exciting and fu to watch.
In the 2012 Targa Tasmania, the Florio Classic Handicap goes to Drew Kent and co-driver Ella Kent (his daughter) with their Ford Falcon 1971 GT.
