The 2012 Targa Tasmania is certainly exciting and fun, with loads of fearless drivers, crews, and mechanics that have done their best in order to win. As you may know, the even is an annual rally show since 1992. The name is based on the place where the event is happening – Tasmania, of course – and based on Targa Florio, the former event which took place in Sicily.

After battling and struggling with various road condition and obstacles for five days, the main spot is dominated by Wayne Clark and Roger Richardson in their Dodge 1938 Speedster Special. On the second place, driver Bill Griffiths in his Roesch 1936 Talbot BG followed 17 minutes later and the third place is dominated by Martin Wilson with his Jaguar 1934 SS Special. He dropped to the third place because of the technical issues with his ride. But the overall competition aspect of this 2012 Targa Tasmania is very exciting and fu to watch.

In the 2012 Targa Tasmania, the Florio Classic Handicap goes to Drew Kent and co-driver Ella Kent (his daughter) with their Ford Falcon 1971 GT. Eterniti has introduced the Hemera concept during Frankfurt Auto show in 2011, but then they finally release and produce the Artemis model for the 2013 model. The company will introduce the 2013 Eterniti Artemis during Beijing Motor Show 2012.

The company says that the 2013 Eterniti Artemis will be the next powerful and strong SUV variant in its class. The selling plan has been announced – it’s around summer 2012 – and the so called super SUV ride has been produced now. The possible price tag will start from $340,000 or around £210,000.

This 2013 Eterniti Artemis is said to be very powerful and also stylish and luxurious. The interior cabin is very classy and also elegant, with brown and cream leather covering for the consoles. There will be the combination of carbon fiber and also natural wood within it. The overall exterior and frame is built from carbon composite, which makes it sturdy and also lightweight. 2012 SEAT Ibiza Cupra Concept

About 12 months ago, SEAT that has been owned by Volkswagen announced that they were officially going to enter China for the first time to compete with other brands from all over the world. Unfortunately, if compared with other brands, SEAT is including the one that is not too popular in China. Because of that reason, they want to build up a brand image using auto expos that are held in the country. At the Beijing Motor Show this year, SEAT will try to increase their popularity by bringing a performance-oriented concept namely the 2012 SEAT Ibiza Cupra Concept, which is the latest in a long line of SEAT’s hot hatches.

From its sporty grille and aggressive front bumper, we can recognize that the SEAT Ibiza Cupra is distinguishable from models that are more run-of-the-mill. As identity, SEAT puts a mode-specific Cupra badge on the grille. The rear bumper is unique because it brings an air diffuser that incorporates a chrome trapezoidal exhaust pipe. A set of 17-inch alloy wheels that are mounted on low profile tires give the Cupra a sportier look.

Another radical difference between the standard and the Cupra model is covered under its body. The new model rides on a track-tuned Cupra chassis that will give driver a sportier driving feel. However, the interior design of the Cupra is still roughly the same with the standard one; the only differences are just its steering wheel, bucket seats and gauges that were claimed by SEAT will be easier to read. Audi A6 L e-tron Concept

It is not a secret that China has turned to be one of the fastest growing automotive markets in Asia. But, even the market there is so big but along with the trend and environmental issues, Chinese consumers start to consider and buy vehicles that consume less fuel. It seems to be realized by almost all automakers, including Germany Audi. To accommodate that trend, the German automaker has just unveiled a plug-in hybrid version of the popular long wheelbase Audi A6 L e-tron Concept sedan. The reveal is done at the 2013 Beijing Motor Show that is officially opened today.

Audi A6 L e-tron Concept Engine

The name of the plug-in hybrid version is A6 L e-tron concept. The drivetrain of the A6 plug-in hybrid is made up of a 2.0-liter TSFI gasoline engine produces 211 horsepower and an electric motor that can bring up to 95 horsepower. The juice that enters the electric motor is coming from a liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery mounted at the backside of the car. The plug-in hybrid drivetrain gives the car opportunity to travel up to 50 miles using electric system alone and running under 37 miles per hour. The electric motor will give extra power to the gasoline engine if driver needs it. But, if it is needed, the Audi A6 L e-tron can also run exclusively on gasoline.

The exterior design of the Audi A6 L e-tron Concept is identical to the existing version with some differences on several e-tron-specific design cues such as the headlamps, 21-inch rims, the grille and a small air diffuser mounted on the rear bumper. Read the rest of this entry »
