Opel Mokka SUV Specs Unveiled
A couple months before Geneva Motor Show 2012, March 6, Opel is publishing the first pictures of their new dynamic, sub-compact SUV named Mokka. With the all-new SUV, now Opel becomes the first German automaker launches a product in the growing sub-compact SUV market. Mokka is a five-passenger SUV with 4.28 of measurement. Opel claims that the all-new sub-compact SUV has successfully combined innovative technologies with attractive design and high-class functionalities. It makes the vehicle would be acceptable in wider customer’s segments.
The Opel Mokka mixes a comfortable seating position with adventure flavor and high-class functionality. It all supported by all-wheel drive technology that delivers maximum power to the rear wheels to give better traction and handling. The power for the sub-compact SUV is given by three different efficient engines. Manual transmission is the standard feature and it is equipped with Opel’s Start/Stop System to maximize fuel economy. The three engine variants given by Opel are naturally aspirated gasoline engine 1.6-liter that produces up to 115 horsepower and 200Nm of torque, CDTI turbo diesel 1.7 liter that produces 130 horsepower and 300 NM of torque and 1.4-liter turbo that produces 140 horsepower and 200Nm of torque. Both the 1.7-liter CDTI and 1.4-liter turbo can be paired with transmission of six-speed manual or six-speed automatic. All Mokka versions are given electronic stability control, hill start assist, traction control and hill descent control systems are standard features. Those features will improve driving safety but still comfortable when the car is driven in both downhill and uphill terrains.
In the inside, Opel Mokka is equipped with ergonomic seating certified by AGR (German healthy back expert organization). Mokka also provides fully integrated, latest Flex-Fix bicycle carrier that can be found on Opel’s cars only. All features belong to the Opel sub-compact SUV are specially aimed for active people who have refined lifestyles.
