This interior looks great but the overall design of this car blends in too much with the CTS. True, it’s bigger but these cars need to have their own identity. Caddys are soon going to all look a like. Your only options will be- little one, medium size one, or the big one.

true ! i’ve always quastioned the general need of V-12 engines as even the formula 1 dropped them some time ago, plus your example of bentley and SSC proves the point also perfectly ! anyways, i’m pretty sure that cadillac will come up with more powerful (V8) options down the production road for this vehicle, anything else would take away from this being labeled “flagship model” IMO. greetings.

nah v12 is kinda not needed.. they dont even bring that extra HP or anything..
the fact both bentley mulsane and SCC ultimate aero uses v8 engines speaks for the volume
a V8 engine has to and i think will be offered as an option, i wonder how it will be outfitted then, i also heard rumors that a V12 might be in the talks, don’t know about that but GM has more than enough V8 material in it’s shelves to modify and to implant in this car, since it is supposed to be cadillac`s flagship model there should be a near to 600 hp american V8 heart available.
i dont think giving this an V8 AWD should be a problem, all they need is to put that engine used in the current CTS-V/ Escalade/ corvette into this car and there u go.. 500ish hp with AWD magnetic ride control
and now for them to make a awesome redesign on their full size luxury model but sticks a puny v6 in it with no v8 option is kinda absurd.
Yes BMW and Mercs all have HYBIRD full size autos but they also give you the options for full power V8’s/ AMG and M Class options. I just think Cadillac should give YOU the option as well.
Im talking about the bigger model Cadillac, as in the DTS size to compete with the 7 series BMW and S 600 class Merc’s.
Im not talking about the midsize sedans that compete with the M5, etc etc.
I already know they make powerful midsize cars, but they have always made a BS full size luxury car. Dont get me wrong I know the Northstar is a pretty powerful engine in the 94-99 devilles and 00-10 DTS’s its just that they can do so much more with their flagship models. Thats all im saying.

Somebody at Cadillac needs to get it together. The v6 is cool for the environment caring people, but they need to have at LEAST a v8 RWD model with 400HP Minimal and if that takes off make a XTS-V with 500+hp and keep the prices decent.
Now that would really put Cadillac back on the map and would have Mercs and Bmws Owners shaking as they already pay outrageous prices for their cars.
The car looks goods it just needs some guts.

I for one will be buying this car if the price is right and it performs like it should. The current DTS has nearly every feature the full size BMW and MB have. Heated seats in all for corners, AC/Heat control front and rear etc…
Recently, Cadillac has received stellar marks. My current S Class will getting traded in for the XTS without a doubt.

The interior is really eye catching, But I have to say I’m very unimpressed with the exterior. This is such an Opel design that it hurts …. I do not believe that this car looks good enough to turn your head away from a BMW 7-Series or the up coming Hyundai Equus … I am a caddy fan from way back, but this one is not a Caddy – To replace the Seville/Deville, I was really hoping that GM would go hard and make us dream of owning the new big body … but I’m sticking with the 2010 Jaguar XJ!
i thought the Ford interceptor concept looked sick but this is on a totally higher level

the xts will put cadilac back as the king of luxury cars again and GM should make a long verison called XTS L. to be right up there with BMW and when GM remakes the buick Lucerne GM will be King again

My favorite movie is Dead Poet’s Society because it is inspiring, fun and well directed. The actors, especially Robin Williams, portrayed the characters very well. The film makes you want to stand up for what you believe in despite pressure from authority and society.

Whoever compared this car to the Jaguar XJ and said that they liked the XJ is really driving an overpriced Ford Taurus!
