Mini drivers are to participate in Italian Job
The classic Mini drivers are being asked to dress themselves in the style of Michael Caine film – “The Italian Job” (1969).
They are also asked to participate in an Italian Job. But, they won’t be insisted to steal money. Instead, they will raise rightful money for disadvantaged and disabled children.
Swiss Alps and Turin are some locations to go through. The trip is promising to evoke the classic film memories.
The fund-raising trip is supported by Mini fans around the world. £3 million is targeted to raise from the Italian Job. The drivers even expect to break a record of trip.
Variety Club Children’s Charity is the selected charity.
The rally is welcoming all Minis, whether Classic or modern. For those who do not have a Mini, they can still participate by using any cars appeared in the film (Lamborghini Miura, Jaguar E-Type, Fiat 500, London Cab, Alfa Giulia, Aston Martin DB4, and others).
Robert Powell will also support this event. In fact, he has been a loyal supporter for Variety Club. In the original film, Robert Powell played as “Yellow”.
The Italian Job will start on 28th of October in Imola, Italy. It is scheduled to finish on 5th of November in UK.
