Ford Unveiled 2013 Ford Fusion NASCAR Sprint Cup Car
Some days ago, American automaker, Ford, unveiled its 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Car at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Media Tour. The Car was based on Ford Fusion and it worked by designers of the company to bring brand identity back to the sport. The result is undeniable with the car mirroring the recently unveiled the production of the 2013 Ford Fusion.
Featuring a completely redesigned sleek fresh face and new silhouette, the 2013 Ford Fusion NASCAR Sprint Cup Car was specially designed and aimed to be the reflection of a new era of stock car racing. The representation of Ford said that the American carmaker wanted Fusion to be the vehicle that helped return stock car to NASCAR competition. Ford believed that the fans are just going to smile and cheer when they see the car because it is going to reengage them with the competition and make it better because there is just something natural about seeing racing car that looks like car in their daily life.
This car becomes the third time Ford simultaneously launched production and NASCAR versions of a new model. The first came in 1968 with the sleek fastback Torino. Legendary NASCAR racer David Pearson drove the Ford Torino at the NASCAR championship in 1968 and 1969. The second time was in 2006 when the carmaker for the first time introduced Ford Fusion in showrooms and on the racetrack.
This time, the American company took different tactic with the development of the 2013 Ford Fusion NASCAR Sprint Cup Car. Ford Design Center led by Garen Nicoghosian and Bernie Marcus, Ford’s aerodynamicist, spending the whole past year to do the early design, freeing up the race teams of Ford to focus on weekly NASCAR race. They believed that the 2013 Ford Fusion is a perfect car and the NASCAR version of the Fusion is even more stunning and there are millions of fans cannot wait to see if perform on the racetrack February next year.
