Some days ago, Italian sports carmaker and F1 contender, Ferrari unveiled its latest car for the 2012 F1 Grand Prix. The name of the car is Ferrari F2012. According to the representation of Ferrari, the car is more reliable than last year’s version because some improvements have been given but still in the corridor of new regulations.

From the images on the internet, we can see that the changes in the F2012 mostly are similar like other teams. Mostly, the changes are evolutionary. Ferrari said that every area of the new F1 car has been fundamentally revised to fit with 2012 Grand Prix. But, they also said that the basic design of the F2012 does not look dramatically different from last season’s car.

The new car carries internal designation of 663. The Italian supercar maker said that the principal focus was in three areas or sections, which are the height of the front section of the chassis, the mapping for the electronic engine management and the position of the exhaust pipes.

They also said that some changes have also been made for other sections, including to the suspension notably in front, aerodynamics and revising the rear and front wings. They said that most of the focus would be on the pre-season track testing and improvement on refining those sectors.

Ferrari also said that changes to last year’s engine are minimal because it has already satisfying; their engineers focus on remapping the electronics.

This season, the Italian team still continues its cooperation with suppliers such as Brembo, Shell and Pirelli to refine their new F1 racecar in some critical areas such as brakes, fuel and tires. They feel optimistic that the new car will be more competitive than last season when Red Bull beat them.

Japanese carmaker, Nissan is replacing its Juke Kuro with the range topping namely Juke Shiro. Nissan said that the Juke Shiro gets its name from its white color scheme. We have known that Kuro means black in Japanese, and now, they replace it with Shiro means white. But, Shiro is also the first name of famed design boss of Nissan Japan, Shiro Nakamura. According to Nissan, this is coincidence because they never planned to use the name of one of the Nissan’s staffs to be the name of their car.

From the name, we can find that the popular Nissan’s crossover brings a number of white details. The white color scheme can be found especially on its door panels and center console. In addition, Juke Shiro brings white stitching on the steering wheel, seats, center armrest and gearshift boot. This special version will replace current Juke Kuro in UK market.

The car is available in a wide color palette such as a new nightshade hue that is similar to eggplant. To make it looks sporty; Juke Shiro is given 17 inches alloy wheels that come in dark-gray. To match the color scheme, Nissan gives the Juke Shiro satin silver mirror caps and door handles.

This step is appreciated by the UK market because it means they will able to get new option. Unfortunately, there are no significant changes in the Juke Shiro – almost all features, including the engine are similar with the current Kuro. The price tag of the Juke Shiro is slightly different with the Kuro but it is not too far.

As one of popular Japanese crossover, Juke is always able to grab attention from the public. In the UK, the crossover records good sales last year. Maybe, that is the reason why Nissan focuses to one of the most selective automotive markets in the world.

Based on reports in some media, British sports car manufacturer, Lotus has planned to expand their participation in motorsports this year by giving engines for Le Mans LMP belongs to Lola Group that will be raced by Kodewa, a team from Germany. Danny Bahar, Lotus’ CEO, said that their party is still searching for a new investor who is able to buy Lotus from its parent company, Proton.

The racecars will join competition in the FIA World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. Lola will give the B12/80 coupe a great combination of black and gold color paint. It is recalling racecars from Lotus from the 1970s.

Lotus seems to get more involved in circuit but unfortunately, their road car business is in trouble even not too serious – they need more funding from investors. There was suggestion for CEO Danny Bahar to search for a new partner to but out Proton’s stake and help funding future road cars. As we know, Malaysian carmaker, Proton was bought by Lotus in 1996 and was in turn bought by another company from Malaysia, DBR-Hicom.

According to some rumors, Danny Bahar is searching for investment of around $790 million. The funding would be used for padding the development of the next Lotus Elise, Elan, Eterne and Esprit sports car. The rumors also said that Genii Capital from Europe who has Lotus Formula 1 team and some Chinese investors are interesting to connect partnership with Lotus.

If the rumor is true, it means the sports car builder will able to continue its project in developing future sports car. It also means that they will come back to the competition as healthy company. However, we have to give appreciation because even they said they need additional funding but their commitment to join racing is still high.

The 2012 Infiniti Emerg-E is still on the production phase and there’s no certain guarantee that the ride will be available soon. The officials from Nissan say that they won’t release the ride until they’re sure that the model is suitable with the one they’re hoping. They expect that people won’t judge it as the new Leaf with re-style form. No, they want completely different from and style.

This 2012 Infiniti Emerg-E model will be the new addition of electric car that has been produced by popular auto manufacturers. Despite the concept, somehow the electric rides aren’t as popular as the regular cars, due to the lack of specifications that people prefer. It seems that people are mostly hoping for electric cars that can be used in crowded and busy city street, so they should be compact but with powerful boost of energy. So far, not many electric cars are able to meet such demand.

It’s a good thing that the company has decided to introduce the Infiniti Emerg-E during Geneva Auto Show that will taken place this upcoming March the 6^th. The company has released several teaser images, showing the sleek lines of the car and also the futuristic designs of the ride. Let’s wait for further notice and official release.
