Aston Martin has officially disclosed that in 2019 its very first all-electric sleek vehicle, dubbed the 2019 Aston Martin RapidE is on the verge of entering production as a limited-run car.
The four-door 2019 Aston Martin RapidE is going to be built around the highly anticipated Rapide AMR concept. The car maker tells that the vehicle, being designed with the active assistance of Williams Advanced Engineering, is about to deliver the dynamics of the Rapide S, making use of an all-electric powertrain instead of that vehicle’s 6.0-litre V12 engine.
Aston Martin is supposed to issue further intriguing details about the vehicle’s electric powertrain a bit later. As CEO Andy Palmer states, the model, set for a limited production run of no more 155 vehicles, will be a typical example of the car maker’s low- and zero-emission promising vehicle strategy. Besides this, he stressed that conventionally powered vehicles would remain core to the company.
