Since the Tokyo international Auto Show 1999, Bugatti will display the 18-4 concept in Paris Retromobile 2014 show. Yes, this design was the original masterpiece that becomes the platform for the Veyron 16-4 model in 2005.
The Bugatti EB 18-4 Veyron concept itself was inspired by motorsport heritage and the winner of Le Mans 24 Hours event in 1930 and 1939 – Pierre Veyron. From the exterior look, Bugatti didn’t make lots of changes for the 2005 model. The 16-4 model was running on W-16 8.0 liter capacity quad turbo engine with 1001 hp of power that is paired up with dual clutch seven speed transmissions. This line was then followed by the Super Sports 16-4 Veyron delivering 1200 hp of power with the top speed reaching 267.856 mph.
Both the Super Sport and the original Veyron were only made up to 300 units and been sold out since the 2011. Basically, the Bugatti EB 18-4 Veyron concept was the basic of all production. It seems that all the good things are always timeless.
