It should have been revealed during next week’s Shanghai Motor Show, but the car world has managed to learn about the new 2018 Citroen C5 Aircross SUV a bit earlier – the first pictures of it are already available on the World Wide Web.
Initially, the images were leaked on a French auto forum before spreading to online auto news website, including Auto Week. Visually, the C5 Aircross keeps to the 2015 design principles outlined by the Aircross concept.
However, it’s hardly surprising considering the two teaser sketches shown by the French car maker at the Geneva Motor Show.
The leaked images give us the first glimpse in the vehicle’s cabin. The shots disclosed a plush looking five-seat interior, featuring sculpted leather upholstery. If we look straight forward, we’ll notice a large infotainment screen positioned in the center of the dashboard. A wide, flat center console sits beneath it, while digital instrument dials can be spot behind the steering wheel.
The arrival of the 2018 Citroen C5 Aircross SUV could finally spell the end for the traditional C5 saloon because Citroen is on the verge of converting many of its more traditional models into up-to-date crossovers in the nearer future.
