All-New MINI Roadster Enters Market Spring 2012
2012 MINI Roadster is an all-new model would be released by the British automaker in the spring 2012. MINI Roadster will be a great solution for fans who said that the regular Cooper convertible brings too big interior. This car will be in the same length like regular Cooper but loses minimalist backseats for more formal body appearance and more intimate interior. The trim levels given by MINI for this all-new model are similar like the regular Cooper as well as the powertrains, which are Base, S and John Cooper Works.
The all-new 2012 MINI Roadster Base is equipped with 1.6 liter in-line 4 engine. It produces 121 horsepower. The S trim level will be equipped with 181 horsepower in-line 4 turbocharged 1.6 liter engine. And the last or the John Cooper Works brings 208 horsepower from its in-line 4 turbo 1.6 liter. There was a statement from MINI as builder that the John Cooper Works on the 2012 MINI Roadster will be the fastest and quickest MINI ever. They said that this trim level reaches 60 miles per hour in just 6.1 seconds go with 149 mph top speed. The fuel economy is just the same as regular Cooper; it spends a gallon of fuel for 25-29 miles of city road and 33-37 miles of highway.
The 2012 MINI Roadster would start to be in the street in the spring of 2012. Some reviewers and analysts claimed that this all-new model should be an interesting mini car and great alternative to the Mazda Miata and Mini Cooper convertible. There is no doubt about MINI’s capability on bringing exciting, interesting small vehicle. The 2012 MINI Roadster is undeniable would be considered by millions of MINI fans around the world; even the features brought are not too different with the current regular Cooper.
