A hot 2017 Seat Ateca Cupra development vehicle has been recently spotted testing at the Nürburgring. The brand new 300bhp super-SUV’s ready for its market launch.
The pepped-up 2017 Seat Ateca Cupra, first noticed the previous year in prototype form at a Seat facility, features Cupra wheels, quad-exit exhausts, large brakes, not to mention a more aggressive bodywork. It’s supposed to be powered by the 2.0-litre petrol motor utilized in the 286bhp Leon Cupra.
Currently, it’s not clear whether this motor’s going to be tweaked to deliver a wide array of performance characteristics or not. For instance, in the four-wheel-drive Volkswagen Golf R, the same motor ensures 296bhp. The new Ateca’s expected to conquer 0-62mph for 6.5sec. If one takes a look at the vehicle’s rev counter suggests, an 8000rpm redline might be suggested.
The regular Ateca’s currently on sale and next year it’s going to be joined a more compact Arona and perhaps a seven-seat SUV in 2020.
The car maker puts a lot of value on the fresh Ateca, hoping it will generate a storm of sales with an approximate price of £35,000.
