A fresh Kia Rio-based B-Segment SUV is going to be dubbed Kia Stonic. The vehicle will debut later in 2017, taking on the extremely successful Nissan Juke crossover.
The new 2017 Kia Stonic has been disclosed in a number of bold design sketches, before its official debut towards the end of 2017.
Actually inspired by the larger Sportage as well as Sorento SUVs, the fresh 2017 Kia Stonic obtains a similar tiger-nose grille, elegant headlights in addition to sharp shoulder line. As for the LED lighting signature, it’s new, although the tail-light design seems to be more familiar. It’s adapted from designs typical to Kia’s range. The stylish front spoiler, rear scuff plates and flared wheel arches form a more urban-focused design. However, the raised ride height along with black roof bars tell us that we aren’t mistaking that it’s the car maker’s fresh SUV.
Unlike the established Sportage, the compact SUV isn’t going to obtain four-wheel drive. By the way, beside the common diesel and petrol powertrains already available at launch, the car maker will probably roll out a new hybrid a bit later.
