The brand new 2017 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 will face rather a limited run of 300 vehicles. The mightiest roadgoing Jaguar ever created by the car maker appears to be a fresh limited-edition model designed by Jaguar’s Special Vehicle Operations Division.
Previewed in the camouflaged form before a public debut at June’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, the fresh beast’s about to be hand-assembled at the car maker’s SVO HQ in Coventry, while only 300 examples are expected to be manufactured. A leaked exclusive picture clearly illustrates what it will look like when the wraps are removed.
The 2017 Jaguar XE SV Project 8 has obtained the most powerful version of the car maker’s 5.0-litre V8 powertrain yet observed in a production vehicle. The supercharged unit boasts 592bhp, which is 25bhp more than on the Project 7 as well as 56bhp more, compared to the nineties’ XJ220.
The pictures issued by Jaguar depict radical modifications to the XE’s chassis and bodywork, with a significantly wider track front and rear, redesigned panels around the rear wheelarches as well as deep side skirts.
