2017 Ford Ecosport is tested on British roads

The fresh 2017 Ford Ecosport has been caught undergoing trials in North Wales, exactly where its British-specific set-up is being finalized on the eve of September’s long-awaited launch.

The EU variant of the upgraded model that is about to come with the more hawkish exterior styling of the Edge and also the Kuga models, is supposed to be disclosed at the approaching Frankfurt motor event. Apparently, the vehicle’s look will resemble the American model, unveiled the previous year.

Manager of SUV communications at Ford, Jeremy Schofield announced that the 2017 Ford Ecosport will share the frontal design with its larger siblings.

Development vehicle spotted by reporters features a restyled front bumper with a striking black mid-section as well as a moderately tweaked rear bumper. As for earlier test vehicles, they had a spare wheel on the rear. The given solution is still popular in Chinese and South American markets, although the EU and UK-spec vehicles will come without the spare wheel that is less appreciated by auto buyers in those territories.
