2012 Savage Rivale GTR

The first official images and specifications of the Savage Rivale GTR have been released to the media recently. The images showed us the racing version of the Roadyacht in full dress. From that images also, we can see that the Dutch limited edition racer is ready to give its best performance. Based on the announcement, this racecar will be lightweight and it is hand-built by Savage Rivale’s engineers.

The specifications of the Savage Rivale GTR are amazing. The weight of the racecar is just little bit more than 2.260 pounds. Under its hood, this car brings a V8 engine. The engine is designed to give various trims from 700 to 800 horsepower. Such number would be enough to – not only chasing – other competitors on the track but there is a chance for the Dutch name to run in front of them.

There will be just 69 units available. Chromoly steel will be used to build the chassis and each car will be hand-constructed. Each unit gets scissor doors, straight-pipe exhaust, 6-speed manual gearbox, front mounted turbocharger and a 6.2-liter V8 engine. The interior section of the racecar would be amazing also because it is given special race seats from Recaro with six point belts. A race-spec interior with carbon fiber finished completes the overall look of the European racecar.

To control the wildness, Brembo ceramic brakes are installed. Based on Savage, the Rivale GTR is able to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds with 225 mph of top speed. The price of this racecar starts at $ 186.715 (€ 141.250). Yes, it sounds expensive but if compared with its capability and specs, such price is quite cheap.
