2011 Land Rover Freelander 2

Since 2007, Land Rover has started the production of Freelander 2 at Halewood plant in Merseyside, England.

And in this year, the 250,000^th Freelander 2 has already been rolled out.

In the last 11 months, retail sales for the Freelander 2 are increased over 22 percent (in comparison with the previous 11 months).

Most of Freelanders built at Halewood plant are sold to countries outside England.

And the 250,000^th Freelander 2, which is powered by a 2.2 liter TD4 Diesel GS, is intended for a buyer who is domiciled in Scotland.

Richard Else, director of Halewood operations, said that the increased sales of Freelander 2 in England and abroad has signified the importance of the vehicle.

Successful sales of the crossover SUV are definitively attributed to the untiring and consistent work from the team in the Halewood plant.

However, Richard also said that the success is not only dedicated for Halewood, but also for the economy of England and UK in general.

A choice of 2 wheel-drive and 4 wheel-drive is offered on the 2011 Freelander 2. And prices of the vehicle are begun at £21,995 OTR.
